Summer Heats Up Again at Piknic: Montreal’s Favorite Ritual Returns

More than 40 events are lined up to surprise and delight, creating unforgettable memories!

After a record-breaking 2024 season that brought together over 272,000 festivalgoers, Piknic Électronik returns for its 22nd edition, packed with even more energy and that beloved festive spirit, running from May 17 to October 12.

The first summer beats will echo through Parc Jean-Drapeau starting May 17, with a lineup that continues to grow in scale year after year since its inception two decades ago. Just to name a few stars of the regular season: Stryv, Enrico Sangiuliano, Boys Noize, DJ Tennis (Life and Death), Misstress Barbara, KI/KI, Robert Hood, Hiroko Yamamura, Priori, and Chippy Nonstop (Pep Rally) will all deliver standout moments throughout the summer.

The Fizz stage will shine especially bright this season with a constellation of must-see artists. Stryv, who collaborated on 2024’s summer anthem “Move” with Adam Port, will kick off the season with something special. Italian techno titan Enrico Sangiuliano brings his high-intensity sounds, while Boys Noize will thrill with his unpredictably electric sets. Dutch rave queen KI/KI will launch the crowd into her unique universe. Detroit minimal master Robert Hood will set the tone, and Hiroko Yamamura, representing Chicago, will energize with her one-of-a-kind blend of house and techno. Priori, a standout in Montreal’s electronic scene, will showcase his talent, while the chaos-loving Chippy Nonstop will light up the dancefloor with her Toronto-based collective Pep Rally.

OfF Piknic events are also back in a big way. None other than Armin Van Buuren—five-time DJ of the Year according to DJ Mag—will launch the season on May 17. Later in May, viral sensation Marlon Hoffstadt hits the stage, followed in June by major party-starters like Lane 8, offering a phone-free experience. The month continues with annual label showcases All Day I Dream and Anjunadeep, and closes with high-energy Brazilian talent Mochakk and the one and only Black Coffee, who’s already sold out his show. More OfF Piknic announcements are coming in the months ahead!

On the local front, Piknic continues its core mission: uplifting homegrown talent by spotlighting local labels and collectives. With a reimagined 360-degree setup, the Banque Nationale stage will feature standout performers such as BAMBII (2024 JUNO winner for Electronic Album of the Year) and online sensation Only Fire. The space will also host collectives like Laylit (highlighting artists from Southwest Asia and North Africa), Unikorn (known for their wildly chaotic parties), and Ferias, where good taste sets the vibe. Crews like Prohibition, Blush x Flush, Strawberry Gothcake, Homeby6, Hauterageous, Dure Vie, and queer Latin collective Discoño will also be part of the summer. And of course, labels will have their spotlight too—Montreal’s own Collection Disques Durs, Lazy Days Recordings, Seer Records Co., and New York’s EELF Records are all on deck.

Accessibility, a founding principle of Piknic, remains key in 2025. Past passholders from 2023–2024 can enjoy last year’s fixed rate, rewarding loyalty to the Piknic experience. Going against industry trends, the best admission prices will stay available to the public up to 72 hours before each regular-season event, encouraging fans to plan their weekends at Parc Jean-Drapeau ahead of time.
