Forage

Forage plays sounds of techno, minimal, future garage, dub & wonky. Descriptions of his productions are: cavernous, textural, growling, yet retaining that mechanical funk of rhythm. Based in Montreal, but having cut his teeth in Edmonton, it's been 15 years since he first touched decks & a mixer. Now he's hopelessly technical and tries to blur the lines between DJ and live. But the criteria for him to play are only the songs which are both memorable and make you move. Last summer he travelled from Future Forest NB to Astral Harvest AB, this year has already seen his first album released and an EP, as well as being honoured by winning the audio production for this year's Bourse Euterke. Also an environmental scientist, eco-utopian, and spiritual rationalist; he has preferred to foster community than chase fame. And of course he loves forests.
