Ciel is Toronto-based producer, DJ, promoter, and all-around dance music powerhouse Cindy Li. For the last six years, Cindy has been advocating for equality, inclusivity, and safer spaces in dance music through her widely praised It’s Not U It’s Me parties and Work In Progress radio shows, the latter of which exclusively showcases music produced by femme-identifying artists.

A veteran DJ with a particular penchant for UK hardcore, breabeat, and bleep, she has earned the reputation as one of dance music’s deepest crate diggers, where her musical knowledge is only matched by her technical mastery behind the decks. Cindy recently forayed into production, where her sophistated debut record, “Electrical Encounters”, was released on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Discs imprint. The record’s dreamy melodies, unconventional drum programming, and attention to detail were met instantly with widespread acclaim, and are undoubtably the result of years of dedication to the underground.
